About Image Merger

Image Merger combines multiple JPG / PNG / WebP images into a single image — stacked vertically, joined side by side, or arranged in a grid. Stitch photos and screenshots together to build comparison shots, collages, and summary images in seconds.

Choose from three layouts: "Stack vertically" (top to bottom), "Side by side" (left to right), and "Grid" (a 2-column, 3-column, or larger matrix). Reorder images freely with drag and drop or the up/down buttons. Set the gap between images and the background color used to fill empty space (white, black, transparent, or custom), and turn on "Match size" so images of different sizes line up cleanly without staggered edges.

Export to PNG, JPG, or WebP, with adjustable quality for JPG and WebP. Choose PNG or WebP to keep a transparent background. Every image you load is processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded to a server, so you can merge confidential documents or personal photos with confidence — it all runs entirely in your browser.

How to use

  1. Drag and drop the images you want to merge (JPG / PNG / WebP / GIF) into the dropzone, or click to select them. You can also paste from the clipboard.
  2. Pick a layout: "Stack vertically", "Side by side", or "Grid". For Grid, you can also set the number of columns.
  3. Drag the thumbnails or use the up/down buttons to reorder the images.
  4. Adjust the gap between images, the background color, and "Match size" as needed.
  5. Choose an output format (PNG / JPG / WebP), and adjust quality for JPG and WebP.
  6. Check the preview, then click "Merge & download" to save the result as a single image.

Use cases

  • Joining several screenshots vertically or horizontally into one explanatory or comparison image.
  • Online store staff arranging product shots from different angles into a grid catalog image.
  • Placing two before / after images side by side to combine them into one.
  • Combining multiple images into a grid collage for a social media post.
  • Stitching comic, manga, or document pages vertically into one long, tall image.

Notes

  • Supports JPG / PNG / WebP / GIF, up to 50 MB per file, and up to 20 images at once.
  • GIF animation is not preserved — only the first frame is merged as a still image.
  • PNG and WebP can be exported with a transparent background. Choosing JPG fills transparent areas with the background color (white by default).
  • With "Match size" on, vertical merges match each image's width and horizontal merges match each image's height to the reference image, so edges line up without steps.
  • If either side of the output exceeds 12,000 pixels, the image is scaled down automatically while keeping its aspect ratio.

FAQ

Are images uploaded to a server?
No. Merging happens entirely in your browser and nothing is sent to an external server, so confidential documents or personal photos are safe to use here.
Can I merge images vertically, horizontally, or in a grid?
Yes. Three layouts are supported: "Stack vertically", "Side by side", and "Grid". In Grid mode you can set 1 to 8 columns to arrange images into a collage or summary image.
Can I merge images of different sizes cleanly?
Turn on "Match size" to auto-resize each image to the reference image — width for vertical merges, height for horizontal merges — so edges line up without steps. Leave it off to keep original sizes and fill any gaps with the background color.
Can I change the spacing between images and the background color?
Yes. Set the gap between images anywhere from 0 to 200px. The background can be white, black, transparent, or a custom color to fill gaps and size differences with the color you want.
Can I choose the output format for the merged image?
You can export as PNG, JPG, or WebP. Choose PNG or WebP to keep a transparent background, or JPG or WebP (with adjustable quality) to keep the file size down.
Can I change the order of the images?
Yes. Drag and drop the thumbnails in the list, or use the up/down buttons on each image to reorder them. The merged result follows this order exactly.
