About PDF ⇄ Image Converter

PDF ⇄ Image Converter turns PDF documents into JPG / PNG images and combines multiple images back into a single PDF. The two modes — "PDF → Image" and "Image → PDF" — live in the same screen, and the tool auto-switches based on what you drop.

In PDF → Image mode, each page is rendered as JPG or PNG, and when there are multiple pages they are bundled into a ZIP for one-click download. You can choose Low (96 DPI) / Medium (150 DPI) / High (300 DPI) presets, and when JPG is selected, a 60–95 quality slider lets you balance quality and file size.

In Image → PDF mode, multiple JPG / PNG files are combined into a single PDF. You can drag-reorder the list, then pick "Original" (page size matches the image) or A4 portrait / landscape; on A4 the image is centered while preserving its aspect ratio.

All files are processed in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server. Confidential documents and personal data stay on your device. Runs entirely in your browser.

How to use

  1. Pick "PDF → Image" or "Image → PDF" at the top (dropping a file auto-selects the right mode).
  2. Drag & drop a PDF or JPG / PNG files into the drop area, or click to choose files.
  3. PDF → Image: pick the output format (JPG / PNG), resolution preset, and JPG quality.
  4. Image → PDF: drag or use the arrow buttons to reorder, then choose a paper size (Original / A4 portrait / landscape).
  5. Download pages individually, or grab everything as a ZIP / single combined PDF.

Use cases

  • Export selected PDF pages as JPG / PNG to paste into a doc or social post.
  • Turn a scanned PDF into images for editing or annotation.
  • Bundle multiple photos or screenshots into a single PDF to share.
  • Lay out images on consistent A4 portrait / landscape pages for printing.
  • Re-purpose presentation pages as high-resolution images for slides, blog posts, or design files.

Notes

  • Per-file limits: 30 MB for PDF, 10 MB for images. Up to 30 images can be added.
  • Encrypted (password-protected) PDFs cannot be converted. Remove the password before importing.
  • Transparent PNG areas are flattened onto a white background when exporting as JPG.
  • On A4, images are centered while preserving aspect ratio; remaining space is left white.
  • High DPI (300) produces large files and takes longer to render — for large PDFs, Medium is the recommended default.

FAQ

Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. All conversion happens inside your browser. Confidential documents and personal information never leave your device.
How do I export just one page?
Use the "Download" button on the page you want in the preview grid. When there are multiple pages, a "Download as ZIP" button is also offered to grab them all at once.
Should I pick JPG or PNG?
JPG is best for photographs and busy figures where smaller file size matters. PNG is best for logos, screenshots, and line art where sharp edges matter — and where you need transparency.
What's the difference between 96 / 150 / 300 DPI?
Low (96 DPI) targets on-screen display, Medium (150 DPI) is comfortable for print, and High (300 DPI) approaches publication quality. Higher DPI means bigger files and longer rendering time.
Can I combine multiple images into one PDF?
Yes. Reorder the images with drag-and-drop or the arrow buttons, choose a paper size, and click "Build PDF and download" to export a single combined PDF.
